John and Bob met in a bar for a drink after work, and were watching the six-o'clock news. A man was shown threatening to jump from the Brooklyn Bridge. John bet Bob $50 that he wouldn't jump, and Bob replied, "I'll take that bet!" Anyway, sure enough, he jumped, so John gave Bob the $50 he owed. "I can't take this, you're my friend," said Bob.
"Nope. A bet's a bet," replied John.
"Listen,” said Bob, “I have to admit, I saw this on the five-o'clock news, so I can't take your money."
John replied, "Well, so did I, but I never thought he'd jump again!"
